All they did was put a little park on a bridge. ,if you do improve the district、improve a park like they did,you make riches beyond your wildest dreams.

in New York City. There used to be an old rusty railway bridge, a bridge that nobody had used for 40 years. It blocked out the sunshine.  it made the whole neighborhood look rough and uncared for.

But somebody had a great idea. They said, we'll raise some money, we'll renovate it, we'll turn it into a park above ground on a railway bridge. They got a million people came to visit the first year. Last year they got 9 million visitors just to a park.

And this is what happens when you do something as clever as that. The world's great architects come and build their signature buildings right there. Now, that was a rundown neighborhood. Nobody really wanted to be there. And now we have Bjarke Ingels and Thomas Heatherwick and Zaha Hadid, all building their signature buildings right on the High Line. So imagine that all they did was put a little park on a bridge. And now it's become one of the most prestigious architectural statements in New York.

They never could have had these buildings there if they hadn't created a small park.

And I'm delighted we have a version of that here in Shenzhen. the shopping mall that's been built in between two mountains with bridges that link them. So that what you've done is you've brought people into parks when they couldn't have otherwise accessed them because there were big, heavy, big main roads blocking them. So now you can go shopping, you can visit park. So it's reinvented a neighborhood. It's created a new community that has access to trees when they didn't have it before.

I wanna, if you do improve the district,  improve a park like they did,you make riches beyond your wildest dreams.
