But one day it flew out the window,

Mary cried and called it back,
But it would not comply.
She left the cage door open wide,
And waited there all day;
At last her little canary came,
And home again did stay.
玛丽有一只小金丝雀，
羽毛鲜艳又美丽；
它日夜为她歌唱，

它停在她的手指上，
啄食甜甜的糖粒；
它跟在她在屋子里转，

可是有一天它飞出窗外，
