1.Introduction:This video shows how to plot stress-strain curve for an representative volume element (RVE) that has been imposed/enabled with periodic boundary conditions (PBC) which is herein described as PBC-enabled RVE. This is important as when RVEs have PBCs imposed on them, during the volume averaging process, only four reactions forces, at the four retained nodes remain. So, to determine stress strain plot, a method involving virtual work has to be utilised.
