Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless, like water. Water can flow, or it can crash. Be water, my friend. 清空杂念。如水一般，无形无状，随方就圆。水能因势流动，亦能无坚不摧。人当如水，朋友。
As an actor, as a martial artist, as a human being, all these I have learned from martial art. 无论是作为演员，还是武术家，又或是一个人，我所学的，无不来自武术。
To me, at least the way that when I teach it, all type of knowledge ultimately means self-knowledge. 对我来说，一切的知识，终极是关于自我认知。
Martial arts it's unacting acting, or acting unacting. it's a combination of both. here it is the natural instinct and here is control. You are to combine the two in harmony. so therefore it's not pure naturalness or unnaturalness. The ideal is unnatural naturalness, or natural unnaturalness. 武术是无心之表演，刻意之流露。是有心与无心的和谐统一。既要自然发挥，也要有意控制，所以既不是纯粹的自然，也不是纯粹的非自然。
I do not believe in styles anymore. styles tends to not only separate men, style is a crystallization while martial arts it's a process of continuing growth. 我不认为武术有流派的区别，流派（样式）只会将世人分隔，因为一旦有流派就意味着固化了，但武术本身是持续精进的过程。
I hope that the picture I am in would either explain why those violence was done, whether right or wrong or whatnot. 我希望我所演的电影中，会对暴力的使用有明确的交代，是对是错还是其它。总之，我不希望只是为了打而打。
The word 'star', is an illusion. I do not look upon myself as a star. You should look upon oneself as an actor. 明星这个词是种幻想。我并不用明星这个词来界定自己。我觉得始终应该将自己看作演员。
I have already made up my mind, that in the United States, I think something about the Oriental, that I mean the true Oriental should be shown. 我已经下定了决心，在美国应该有一些东方的东西，真正的东方文化。我应该去做这样的事情。
You know what I want to think of myself? As a human being. but under the sky, under the heaven, there is but one family. It just so happened that people are different. 你知道我想怎么界定我自己吗？我心中我是人类的一分子，我首先是一个人。天穹之下，人类一家，只不过我们长相不太一样罢了。
