IMAGINE DRAGONS是一只来自美国内华达州，拉斯维加斯的独立乐队。
乐队主唱丹·雷诺斯是拉斯维加斯人，2008年在犹他州遇到吉他手韦恩·瑟蒙。当时主唱丹正在上学，而韦恩则已经从伯克利音乐学院毕业。在经历过数次阵容变化之后，乐队在拉斯维加斯正式成立。成员包括丹和韦恩以及新加入的本·麦基、安德鲁·托尔曼和布里特妮·托尔曼。乐队成员一起住在拉斯维加斯，并在那里录制发行了前三张EP。
乐队在2010年发行了两张EP《Imagine Dragons EP》和《Hell and Silence EP》 ，这两张EP都是在Battle Born Studios录制完成的。2011年，乐队又回到了这个录音室。在乐队签下唱片合约之前又录制了另一张EP《It's Time》。
IMAGINE DRAGONS诞生于普洛佛，是犹他州的当地乐队，之后转移到内华达的拉斯维加斯，在乐队一举赢得back-to-back奖杯之后，终于在2009年进入了录音棚。
他们于2010年发布了两张EP，IMNAGE DRAGONS EP和HELL AND SILENCE EP（混音部分由MARK NEESHAM完成），两张EP都在BATTLE BORN STUDIOS（拉斯维加斯很棒的录音棚）录音完成，不久后，他们受邀在13届拉斯维加斯年度食品音乐节参演，在当地电台107.9FM里被授予 “2010最受欢迎的乐队”的称号，被选为拉斯维加斯的超级头牌乐队，被拉斯维加斯周刊投票选为“最棒的本地独立乐队”，并被拉斯维加斯七本杂志选为 “2011年最棒的CD”。
IMAGINE DRAGONS在2011年11月签约了一家唱片公司，他们和制作人ALEX DA KID(曾为阿姆，蕾哈娜和帕拉莫做过音乐)关系十分亲密，并且在加利佛尼亚西好莱坞的WESTLAKE 录音棚录音。
