Phil Ochs，美国60年代无产阶级民谣斗士，前卫民谣早期实验先锋，Billy Bragg、Tom Morello 等人的偶像，1976年4月在纽约上吊自杀。
这是一场在他去世后一个多月在纽约菲尔特集会开办的演唱会，聚集了许多Phil的生前好友，包括 Pete Seeger、Fred Hellerman (The Weavers)、Bob Gibson、Odetta、Dave Van Ronk、Tim Hardin、Melanie Safka、Jim Glover、Jean Ray (Jim & Jean)、Tom Rush、Peter Yarrow、Oscar Brand、David Blue、Eric Andersen 等著名民谣和布鲁斯歌手，共同缅怀这位伟大的民谣斗士。
还有许多歌手及乐队参与了本次纪念演出，如 Ramblin' Jack Elliott、Len Chandler 以及“垮掉的一代”著名诗人 Allen Ginsberg 等，他们的演出虽未被收录在本视频内，但有音频流传。
