This is a pre-release look at the Museum of Digitized Heritage Vision Pro app. The app shows what is possible with the amazing Apple Vision Pro: exceptionally high quality, 3D scans, or international heritage sites that are infrequently seen. All brought together into an immersive and also informative experience. And free.
The Museum of Digitized Heritage was launched in 2025 to share digital preservation from around the world. It is a collaboration between the Future Museum Media Innovation Studio at Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Institute for Cultural and Creative Industry, and Studio SpeciaLAND.
The world’s shared cultural heritage is threatened by environmental change, political strife, and human development. Recently, organizations have conducted digital preservation of many sites, creating highly detailed 3D scans. Our goal is to enable everyone, no matter where they are in the world, to explore this vast collection of civilization beyond the constraints of space and time.
Presented here are four historic sites in the La Mancha region of Spain. These scans were created as part of the amazing preservation work by the non-profit research organization, Global Digital Heritage working with partners in the Castilla-La Mancha region.
