Queen - Radio Gaga - Live at Live Aid 1985 - remastered in 4K
作者:Ben Outram
I took the footage of Queen's performance of Radio Gaga at Live Aid from the Live Aid Youtube channel and upscaled it to 4K using Gigapixel AI. I also replaced the original audio track with a high quality stereo FM recording of the event, because why not?
Thoughts: not bad overall. I think the upscale shines most in the tight shots of Freddie, as well as some of the shots looking out over the crowd from the stage. Other crowd shots take on a slightly artificial feel, but they must be enormously challenging for the software to deal with. Of course, there are some potential downsides to the processing: those pesky satellite interference lines are more prominent, for example.
One of the aspects I find most interesting is how the software deals with hair. Look at Roger Deacon's hair in profile, or Freddie's hair during the closeup shots - it seems like the software recognises blurry hair, then does some "guesswork" to recreate it.
