We welcome you to this review of the 7th Global China Dialogue, with the theme of Reforming Global Governance, and related activities. It was held at the British Academy on 10 December 2021. The Dialogue consisted of four panels:
• Transformations: Society and Environment
• Digital Security and Geopolitics
• Personal and Cultural Identities, State and Corporation
• Reforming the Institutions
The Dialogue was co-organised by the Global China Academy and the ESRC Centre for Corpus Approaches to Social Science at Lancaster University,
and supported and sponsored by many universities and institutions at home and abroad.
At the offline and online hybrid conference, scholars and experts from the UK, China, France, Germany and the USA conducted extensive and
in-depth discussions on the theory and practice of reforming global governance.
Following previous practice, the bilingual proceedings of the Dialogue will be published.
This 90-minute video presents highlights of the day’s events, including the launch of the Global China Academy (GCA) and of new publications by Global Century Press (GCP), as well as photos and lists of panel chairs and the topics of speakers in different sessions throughout the day.
Some short videos, with English and Chinese bilingual subtitles, are shown, including those sent in by some absent Fellows and representatives of organizers, supporters and sponsors.
