The course begins by introducing fundamental methods for characterizing light rays in geometric optics, then extends to cover light field characterization and light field imaging techniques. In particular, we will delve into advanced developments in light field technology, including light field cameras, large-scale camera arrays, and cutting-edge progress in light field microscopy imaging. Additionally, we will showcase the research achievements of our research group in the field of light field microscopy imaging, particularly our programmable aperture light field microscopy technology. Finally, we will engage with students, demonstrating the usage of Lytro software.
