Where do the most popular houseplants come from, and what does it take to find them? The most sought-out houseplants are aroids, and many aroids can be found in one particular country, home to some of the world's most ancient and unexplored rainforests. We traveled to the most biodiverse country per square mile - Colombia. Tucked away in these formidable ecosystems are some of the most spectacular aroids, from Anthuriums to Philodendrons, as well as thousands more that have rarely or never been seen.
