  Such a scenario and the statistics above, apparently, can be associated with the increasing popularity of traditional opera among the young. To begin with, China is characterized by its time-honored history and diverse traditional artistic forms, which are the base for the popularity of Chinese opera. In addition, compared to the past years, more primary and middle schools offer students elective courses, such as music, painting, Wushu, and traditional opera, which arouse teenagers' interest in traditional art.
