英文版介绍：Etemon was the second enemy that Chosen Children faced after getting to the Server Continent. Etemon controlled the Dark Network, a mass of cables that ran under his territory which used dark energy and could be used as a way to monitor everything in the area. His main base of operations was an upside-down pyramid. The Dark Network was controlled by Nanomon, a machine type Digimon that Etemon had captured. When the Chosen Children freed Nanomon he sought to get his revenge on Etemon. When Etemon found Nanomon's lair underneath his own pyramid, he attacked Nanomon, but was dragged by Nanomon into the core of the Dark Network that Nanomon had infected with a virus. Nanomon was destroyed, but Etemon fused with the network, becoming even stronger. He then went after the Chosen Children, but Taichi succeeded in activating the Crest of Courage to super evolve his partner into Metal Greymon who destroyed the core of the Dark Network, sending Etemon into a vortex. Etemon would later evolve into Metal Etemon and escape.

In "Clash, the King of Digimon", the Chosen Children met an Etemon who wished to be the King of Digimon, fighting against a Volcamon for the title. He thought entertainment was the most important quality for the King of Digimon, while Volcamon thought fitness was instead, and both had Gazimon and Nanimon followers who'd switch sides between the two of them, with the Gazimon dressing up like Etemon. However, once the Chosen Children arrived, they decided that whoever beat them would be the King of Digimon due to their notoriousness. Their sound waves caused the Digimon to act bizarrely, making them unable to fight, but they were ultimately stopped once Palmon evolved into Ponchomon and beat them, which made them want to follow her instead.
Volcamon and Etemon reacted to the attack of a group of Soundbirdmon in "The Angels' Determination".
After Negamon was finally defeated in "The End of the Adventure", Machmon had a race against Rebellimon. Close to them, Etemon and Volcamon rode a Tankmon as two Kiwimon, who carried their Gazimon fans dressed as Etemon, followed them.

Etemon appears as an obtainable Perfect-level Virus type Digimon in Digimon World.
Etemon appears as a side boss in the Unwavering Forest. At the south of the Unwavering Forest, there's a treehouse with a mysterious door that will shoo the Player away, as nobody lives there. After the Village of Beginnings has a total rating of between 45-50 Prosperity Points and the entrance to the Infinity Mountain has been unlocked, the door will be open, and when the Player tries to enter, Etemon will fall from the tree and attack the Player's Digimon, taking away some HP before the battle starts, so it's recommended to be prepared as Etemon is a Perfect Digimon that provides a hard battle. Once it's defeated, Etemon will join the Village of Beginnings, only to be kicked out of the city by the inhabitants as Etemon wanted to start its own harem, where it'll hang around in the Digimon Bridge, selling Golden Bananas, Etemon's evolution item for the price of 50,000 BITs each.
Scumon is the only Digimon that can evolve into Etemon, in order to evolve into Etemon, your Digimon must meet the following criteria:
Etemon's evolution item is the Golden Banana which lets any Adult Digimon evolve into Etemon.

Etemon was brought back to life thanks to Millenniumon, who he then served. He fights Akiyama Ryo twice in a row in Etemon's Palace, first alone and then alongside a Ganimon and either a Rukamon in Anode Tamer or an Octmon in Cathode Tamer, the second boss fought in the game. Defeating Etemon freed Takenouchi Sora, Takaishi Takeru, Piyomon and Patamon. He fights Ryo again in Milleniumon's Lair alongside a Gazimon, the second fight in the boss rush leading to Millenniumon, but is defeated once again.
Etemon is an obtainable Perfect level, Virus Attribute, Land Type Digimon. Like all bosses, it can only be obtained in the post-game.

猿公
猿公指剑术高明的隐者。示例：“处女将北见於王，道逢一翁自称曰 袁公 ，问於处女：‘吾闻子善剑，愿一见之。’女曰：‘妾不敢有所隐，惟公试之。’於是 袁公 即杖箖箊竹，竹枝上颉桥未堕地，女即捷末， 袁公则飞上树变为白猿。” 后遂以“猿公”指指剑术高明的隐者。
猿猴
猿猴属最古老的灵长类，可以上溯到6500万年前的古新世。这种动物与其说是像猴，不如说更像松鼠。这是一种爱在地上乱窜，专门以昆虫为食的胆小哺乳动物。
猿猴的两眼向前，均在同一平面上。前肢类似于人的手，可以抓握物体，极善于攀缘，多在林间树上活动。有的种类无尾，是最接近人类的动物，如长臂猿、猩猩等。 猿猴大脑较发达，学习能力强，善于模仿。猿猴一般过群居生活，有的种类的群体会有首领。猿猴多为杂食性，以野果、野菜为食，有的种类也吃昆虫或其他小动物。
古新世的地球是个温暖平静的世界，广袤的热带森林向赤道两侧伸展，远远超出了今天的范围。欧、亚、非三大洲到处是热带森林，北美大部分是丛林。当时的北美洲与欧洲通过格陵兰连成一片大陆。在这片森林的居民中，有一大群长有尾巴、外形像老鼠的哺乳动物。它们今天的近亲是一批专门吃昆虫和果实的哺乳动物，如田鼠、豪猪和鼹鼠。可能由于地面上竞争过于激烈，也可能由于树上存在比地面上更为丰富的食物，一些早期的哺乳动物开始爬上树去，以果实、昆虫、鸟蛋以及幼鸟等为食。今天非洲和亚洲仍残存这种早期灵长类的孑遗，它们被称为“原猴”，其中包括颇有名气的狐猴和眼镜猴。这些原猴几千万年来体形骨骼几乎没有什么变化，非常适应它们的生存环境。但是，另外一些种类却变化很大，从中迅速辐射演化出生存于当今世界上的所有原猴、猴、猿及人类。
