The Age of Terra is the earliest period of human history, lasting from roughly the beginning of recorded history to the 15th Millennium or 18th Millennium. This was an age of adventure and hope. Glimpses and echoes are all that survive.

During much of this time, mankind was limited to the confines of Terra and ancient civilisations came and went. But eventually, mankind developed space travel and colonised most of the Solar System, though no records remain with details. Most notable of these colonies were Mars, and the moons of Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune.

Although no records remain of Humanity's first steps into interstellar travel, it began during this this age. Some claim that the 13 Appollians were the ones who lead Mankind into the stars, and their landing on Luna was only the first small step. Interstellar travel started as small and faltering steps, which became strides, and then bounding leaps through the void of space. The first encounters between human and alien races would also occur during this time, but encounters aren't directly detailed. Fragments suggest that accords were struck with some, while wars were waged against others, mostly notably the Orks. Some postulate that Orks were probably the first alien civilisation humans met during their interstellar travels, having been at war with each other ever since then.

The Age of Terra was succeeded by the Dark Age of Technology as humanity began to colonise worlds outside of the Solar System.
