The volcanic world of Mezoa was founded during the early phases of the Great Crusade, and its construction was overseen by the Mechanicum, the Emperor of Mankind and Ferrus Manus.

The Lucien Forge was ordered to aid in forge world's foundation with supplies and manpower. In their reluctance to do so, they used the opportunity instead to exile various apostate Tech-Priests from their ranks.
