2. Core Strategy (Transition & Final Composition)
The Wood Spirit composition focuses on using Qi-gaining cards with Wood Spirit - Fragrant for ATK buffs, Wood Spirit - Willow Leaf and Wood Spirit - Forest Guard for chase actions, combined with multi-hit cards from Wood/Fire Spirits. First Daoist Rhyme Omen should pick Wood Spirit - Fragrant.
2.1 Early Game: Meditation → Foundation → Virtuoso
2.1.1 Meditation Phase
Early transitions use Wood/Fire Spirit cards. Core cards: Wood Spirit Seal, Wood Spirit - Bud, Fire Spirit - Rush, Five Elements Fleche, Small Recover Elixir.
If Wood Spirit Seal is missing/lv1, use Water Spirit Seal temporarily, but aim for lv2 Wood Spirit Seal later.
Stay in Meditation Phase for first 4 rounds without breaking through. Use all Exchange Card Chances to secure wins for "Battle Experience" bonus. Stop exchanging when Wood Spirit - Bud reaches lv3 or most cards are lv2.

2.1.2 Virtuoso Phase
Round 5: Break through to Virtuoso Phase directly by absorbing cards. Keep only 1 copy each of: Wood Spirit Seal (highest lv), Wood Spirit - Bud, Fire Spirit - Rush, Five Elements Fleche, Small Recover Elixir.
Foundation Immortal Fate: Must pick Mark of Five Elements.
Virtuoso Immortal Fate priorities: Thunder Tribulation > Epiphany > Inheritance of Wood Spirit > Side Job: Elixirist > Inheritance of Fire Spirit > Tool Governor > other inheritance fates.
Rounds 5-7: Minimize card exchanges. New transition cards: Divine Power Elixir, Wood Spirit - Sparse Shadow, Fire Spirit - Blast, Wood Spirit - Forest Guard, Five Elements Circulation, Fire Spirit - Scarlet Flame, Earth Spirit - Cliff.
Example Transition:
With Mark of Five Elements active, open with Fundamental Elixir/Cloud Elixir, follow with Wood/Fire attack cards, then place Wood/Water Spirit Seals to cycle back faster. Avoid Qi starvation.
2.2 Mid-Game: Immortality Phase
Round 8: Break through to Immortality Phase. Prioritize absorbing cards for breakthrough.
Immortality Fate priorities: Thunder Tribulation > Inheritance of Wood Spirit > Tool Governor > Inheritance of Fire Spirit > other inheritances > Epiphany > Side Job: Elixirist > Shattered Dao.
Use all Exchange Card Chances per round. Only save chances if key cards are already obtained.
Core Cards: Spiritage Elixir, Wood Spirit - Fragrant, Fire Spirit - Blast, Wood Spirit - Forest Guard, Wood Spirit - Thorn, Five Elements Circulation, Fire Spirit - Scarlet Flame.
Example Setup: Spiritage Elixir → Wood Spirit - Fragrant → Fire Spirit - Blast → Wood Spirit - Forest Guard → Wood Spirit - Thorn → [repeat Forest Guard/Thorn] → Fire Spirit - Scarlet Flame.
Flexible Substitutions:
(1) Keep lv3 Wood Spirit - Bud until obtaining 2x high-lv Wood Spirit - Thorn or 1x Thorn + 1x Fire Spirit - Blazing Prairie.
(2) Use 2x Wood Spirit - Fragrant if lacking Fire Spirit - Blast or Qi.
(3) Compensate low ATK with Wood Spirit - Fragrant → Five Elements Circulation → Fire Spirit - Blast combo.
2.3 Late Game: Incarnation Phase
Rounds 11-12: Break through when Cultivation and Destiny are stable with key cards. Prioritize Epiphany/Thunder Tribulation fates; otherwise pick Inheritance of Five Elements.
Standard Compositions: Spiritage Elixir → Wood Spirit - Willow Leaf → Wood Spirit - Fragrant → Wood Spirit - Forest Guard → Wood Spirit - Thorn → Forest Guard → Five Elements Circulation → Fire Spirit - Blazing Prairie;
Or: Spiritage Elixir → Wood Spirit - Fragrant → Wood Spirit - Willow Leaf → Fire Spirit - Blast → Wood Spirit - Forest Guard → Wood Spirit - Thorn → Forest Guard → Fire Spirit - Blazing Prairie.
2.4 Advanced Tactics
2.4.1 Burst Composition
With high-quality cards, use backline Wood Spirit - Fragrant for 4-action kills against burst/no-defense comps.
2.4.2 Five Elements Heavenly Marrow Rhythm
Against high-DEF comps: Wood Spirit - Forest Guard doesn’t consume chase stacks, allowing second-cycle Wood Spirit - Fragrant double chase.
2.4.3 Ice Spirit Guard Elixir
Position based on enemy burst timing.
2.4.4 Earth Spirit - Combine World
Place on 3rd/4th action against multi-hit comps.
3. Sigil Synergies
Sigil rules:
(1) 1-3 Sigils enhance your build, unlocked at Rounds 1/4/7/10/13.
(2) Buying Sigils costs 1 exchange; absorbing refunds 1.
(3) Low-tier Sigils have high-tier versions (can stack if different tiers).
Strategy: Prioritize deck completion over Sigils early. Only hunt Sigils post-Round 13 with core cards secured.
Wood Spirit Sigil Priorities:
Core: Incarnation Phase’s Mechanism Deer.
Support: Any 2 sigils with Mechanism Rune like Mechanism Assembly, Spirit Rune Mechanism, Cosmos Mechanism.
Temporary substitutes: Fire Whip or Spirit Overflow.
Counterplay Sigils:
Hexproof or Exorcism vs Weakened/Entangled.
Immortal Trapping vs enemy chase cards (use on their turns 1-2).
Guard Up paired with Ice Spirit Guard Elixir for layered defense.
