Hello everyone, I'm int-asterisk-p, one of the developers of mech heart. In this page, I'll show you how to play mech heart in 1v1 game and gain TR quickly in tetra league.

In 1v1 game, we use mech heart that based on ms3 (mountainous stacking 3, one of TD openers), to ensure that there are enough attacks in the first few bags. There are 6 bags of opener then enter mech heart. On average, the efficiency come to 1-1.1 app (attack per piece), high enough to kill opponent easily if you have a normal speed.

Opener part (1st-6th bag)

1st bag

91.7% setup rate; don't recommend mirror setup

2nd bag

100% setup rate; pay attention to the small chance of dangerous soft drop of J piece

At most of time, we don't need to clear T3 immediately, we hold T piece until the next one comes; but, sometimes we can make use of opener phase: T3 will be able to cancel 12 lines if it's 14th piece placed (best strategy if your opponent use a quicker TD opener)

3rd bag

100% setup rate

If you've tanked exactly 4 straight lines (a quad or a t2), there is a big chance to display 3-bag pc

(some frequently used solutions)

(pc and b2b preserve rate for different column of garbage)

Very recommend pc when the garbage is at column 1, 2 and 6: highest pc and b2b preserve rate when at column 6; avoid lower setup of ST stacking with 1 height in mech part later, also relatively high pc and b2b preserve rate when at column 1 and 2. Don't recommend pc when the garbage is at column 4 and 5: we can clear a quad to make huge spike by using this garbage when doing mech later.

After pc, we go back to the 1st bag then start doing ms3 or other opener again.

4th bag (if continue mech)

100% setup (when there is garbage at column 1, place I piece earlier than T piece); mini S1 and T2

5th bag

100% setup; mini S1 and T2

If you are on the top of the board, stop using the setup above, try to use the setups below to clean your board then downstack immediately

(actually these are some frequently used solution for 5-bag pc (99.96%), also some good ways to clean your board)

6th bag (if continue mech)

100% setup; mini S1 and T2

This is the last bag of the opener, the shape of mech appears; Now, we are going to enter mech part

Mech part

In the beginning, I'll show you the setup of some main variations. Then, I'll make detailed explanation about all of them. At last, I'll show you the strategies in 1v1 games.

ST variation (main part) (picture 1 and 2)

upstack variation (picture 3 and 4)

ending variation

downstack variation (optional)

About ST variation

mini S1 and T2, send most of the attack; use JZ and OL to make heart shapes (pic 1 and 2); put I piece in the right side (column 9 and 10). There is a very comfortable finesse in pic 2 about OL and JZ piece. We use this variation when there is enough height on the right side.

Sometimes we have a T2 base (like what's left after pic 3), and in this case, T2 rate will be 100% because you can clear a T2 regardless of the consequence of S and T piece.

However, this doesn't mean that we can't put T piece first and preserves b2b when there is not a T2 base, we can put the T piece like this (put it to the button vertically then spin, it will kick up); but, it will change mini S1 and T2 to mini T1 and mini S2, dramatically decrease the attack. Don't recommend this setup.

T2 rate also depends on the amount of heart on the left ( like it's 2 on pic 1); we can change the height by upstack and downstack variation

Notice that we stack 2 lines less on the right side every 2 bags, it will be lower and lower, so we need other variations to complement it.

About upstack variation

a mini T1 or a T2, doesn't send lots of attack; use JZ and LS to make heart shape, put O and I on the right side; biggest function is to increase the height of the tower, 0.5 per bag, and slightly increase the height of right side.

watch out when you have to do just a mini T1, your opponent may have a spike

100% setup all the times; use it when the tower is not enough high and the right side is low.

advanced skills: sometimes you can hold the O piece in and put it in col 7-8; in this way, in next bag, you don't need to wait both O and L piece comes to build the roof of T2; it can help you to cancel garbage timely.

About ending variation

the order of spins: L-J-S-T (L don't need dangerous soft drop, put it to the button vertically then spin, it will kick up). setup rate 58.33%. Very good variation to clean your board and ready to break the surge. Very recommend to use it when the height is 2. feel free to put o and i piece everywhere.

About downstack variation

mini S1 and T2, also send attacks; put T piece as early as possible to ensure b2b preservation.

Also, feel free to add several middle bags between the second and the last bag if the right side is too high:

I recommend to start it at 2/2.5 height.

At last, I'd like to show how I apply them into real 1v1 game.

First, remember this again: try your best to cancel the garbage from your opponent, don't tank unless you're ready to break surge. If you're on the top of the board, quickly find a chance to break it and immediately starting downstack. Also, if you find your opponent can't downstack right now, immediately break the surge and kill.

If your opponent use LST, do 3-bag pc as you can, this is very very practical. After you finish 6th bag, do ST variation until there is not a T2 or you find a chance that your opponent don't have a spike or you have to do it because the right side is too low. Second time feel free to upstack because T2 also has enough attack. When the height becomes 2, find a chance to do ending variation and kill the opponent. I myself use downstack variation very few, no chance to continue that long.
