File Description:
SCP-7719 refers to a series of sudden TV signal hijacking incidents in North America. Its most anomalous feature is an absolute absence during detection—any digital or analog recording device is incapable of capturing the altered footage; when recording begins, playback only shows the station's original programming. It only truly materializes when a living person is watching the screen.
After an abrupt burst of analog tape static noise, regular programming is completely tampered with: the shadow of antlers fleeting at the end of a dark hallway, a young girl at a baptism ceremony coughing blood while revealing a jackal's head, a sitcom family with an octopus head and a mantis mouth accompanied by canned laughter... These chimeric creatures, designated SCP-7719-1, wander aimlessly in fear on the screen, and even suddenly stare straight at the viewer.
A long-abandoned television station with its power still on, a remnant memo filled with strict scrutiny on 'abnormal physiological structures.' And at midnight, when Site-57's alarms went out of control and all screens were simultaneously hacked, the deformed creature sitting alone in darkness sent a final distress signal to the researchers:
'Don't look at us... It hurts... Turn it off... Please.'
